Everyone whats more for their taxes.... These same people would scream to cut taxes even more and lay government employees (shiftless and lazy) off. But, increase what they are getting.

Lynda and her type want more fish, the wild fish are almost gone, overfishing is the cause. More artificial fish transplants ,less healthy fish populations. People like Lynda wonder why there are not enough fish, then they do not want to pay for the transplants. Weird.

Four stocks seems pretty good considering the environmentalists have shut down a good portion of the stocking in the state. Paradise reservoir and Philbrook lake are on the do not stock list.

Yes, the wild fish are almost gone. So we should wait until they are all gone and then do what? Times change, the environment changes, and stocking and planting fish keeps fish in rivers, streams and lakes.
If we stop stocking, and people stop buying fishing licenses and hunting licenses, then how will the Department of Fish and Game live without the funds those fees bring in? |

License prices have kept me from getting another license. They lose money when people can not afford to fish. Some people need to fish to eat. People before fish.

Please, how much is a fishing license? Lynda strikes me as one of those people with their hand outstretched for the big give-away. I do believe she deserves a response from the government agency, though. Lynda, why can't you just make a little trip to where they ARE stocking? You seem to be able to afford a computer (or maybe you are at public library or a friend's?) California native fish have been destroyed by the damming of rivers, the use of water for agriculture and livestock, all a direct result of the needs of PEOPLE. So PEOPLE need to pay up or shut up. |

Please!!!!!! No one needs to fish to eat around here. There are social programs for everything. Most of these people smoke or drink or have other vices that cost more than a fishing license. License fees have gone up and you know what Wardens are still underpaid compared to other law enforcement officers and understaffed. They should come before stocking programs. I was happy to read about the arrest of poachers in the last couple of weeks. I say double the license fees and hire more wardens, elect judges that realize F&G violations are serious and throw the book at them, then use the fines to restore fish and wildlife damaged by the low life. |
