What is sad about this story is one that is often seen in the New Mexican. It seems our local paper takes a position of defending New Mexico politicians. From Richardson to King the New Mexican is never the newspaper with the first story on the wrong doings of the State's greedy politicians. In the Richardson case the paper was saddened that is friend Bill Richardson was being investigated for taking pay for play money. The newspaper has been a friend of the King Family for years. This family has taken selfish personal advantage of its political positions for years and the New Mexican never reports it.

Why would anyone believe something in a paper owned by Rupert Murdoch of Fox (Fake) News fame? In my opinion the Wall Street Journal has about as much credibility as Hannity or Limbaugh...I don't even know King, by the way.

I agree with Jim. Judge him all you want, I believe he is correct. Where Richardson, King, et. al., are concerned... if it walks like a duck...

The new mexican and their stenographers don't have the balls to ask the important and relevant questions that many of the thinking citizenry are asking and want to know. Questions such as: 1) With so much evidence pertaining to the Rio Chama, why is Gerald Peters insulated from any charges? 2) How much campaign money has he paid to you? 3) Why would you use the state police to aid in the cover-up of Peters? This is the main reason liberal newspapers who troll for the democrats are failing; we can get the truth on the internet and on talk radio.

When you consider anything that disagrees with your myopic world view to be false, it becomes easy to see propaganda and conspiracy all around you. I think the concept you're looking for is fact. Fact is not necessarily the same thing as truth. And if you're going to the internet and talk radio for fact, you may want to check the sources yourself. Remember, most media is ad revenue based; fact doesn't tend to bring in those rating numbers.

Only a mental midget, totally out of touch with the financial world, would think that the editorial philosophy leads to newspaper problems. The majore cause of newspaper problems is the 'leveraged buy-out' debt. The internet world and Bush's financial fiasco have caused problems for all conventional corporate media, but the well financed ones are still alive and well.

Isn't that what all the cornered rats say? "It wasn't me, my pants were on, the check's in the mail, they don't have the facts right, his mother was a virgin, I only had two beers, I never looked at her, I don't understand taxes or accounting, it was driven by a little old lady to church on Sundays, the garden plot is free-we only charge you for the marker and casket, you will be delivered unto Heaven, if you only believe, you'll have 72 virgins when you get there, I only took one mulligan, and the fish was THIS big!"

Wah Wah, Gary King is still struggling to get out of his own pay for play scandal. He gladly accepted the largest contribution he has yet to receive, connected to a contract he approved worth millions, he manipulated the contract start date to hide the contributions of over $100,000 split 3 ways, and he has refused to give any of it back. He has his public relations guy working overtime on this one. Gary King himself said a few months ago about someone else, "If it walks like a duck...", well Quack - Quack! This is why we need to quit electing family dynasties to office, they think they are entitled to do what they want and explain it all away in a a puff of smoke. Lucky for him there is no one to investigate him, the feds are all busy with Richardson, and King can block any state investigation like he is doing with Hector Balderas.
