During the Miss Missouri USA pageant of 2010 in Springfield Missouri last Sunday a local-born Hopkins County native, 20-year-old Ashley Strohmier, was awarded the esteemed crown of Miss Missouri.

She will never be able to bring up how great madisonville is. She can only talk about missouri. And she left at 7years old what can she say....But iam truly happy for someone who was able to reach their goals that they sat for themself in life. It proves that you do anything you want if you put your mind too it. GOOD LUCK MRS. STROHMIER BECAUSE I LEFT MADISONVILLE A LONG TIME AGO AND will STILL STAND BEHIND ANYONE FROM MADISONVILLE THAT NEEDS IT.
