Madison, NC-- A suspect's father had to help a deputy arrest his son, after the man assaulted the deputy who was serving him with outstanding warrants.

The deputy was not seriously hurt. Deputy Eli Mendoza was attempting to serve warrants on Douglas Wayne Lowe Jr., 26, of 401 Lowe Road in Madison for failure to pay child support and failure to appear in court when the incident occurred.
