Tom Thompson, president of Lyon County State Bank, announced Thursday that the bank has entered into an agreement to purchase First Community Bank from Wes Condron, subject to regulatory approval.

Defense attorney Scott Bratland said during a pretrial motions hearing in Madison that Carl Ericsson has been examined by a psychiatrist but that an affidavit has not been finalized.

A plane carrying 24 Kansas veterans took off from Kansas City International Airport around 6:30 a.m. Thursday, for an Honor Flight to Washington D.C. The group includes nine area veterans of World War II and the Korean War.
