Two Lowell natives were killed, and a third was seriously injured, along with a 4-year-old boy, in a horrific single-car crash along a country road in northeastern Florida last week.

The sheriff's department believes it has solved grand theft cases involving new appliances and other items from houses under construction in Macclenny dating back to April of 2008.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a one-vehicle crash in Baker County that killed two people and caused serious injuries to two others, including a 4-year-old. The crash took place about 6 p.m. Wednesday on County Road 125, just northeast of Macclenny.
