This goes over the line of harmless prank. These perps need to be slapped hard and expelled.

This is just too easy, lock them up without cell phones for a weekend in a storage locker at OU.

Apparently Ohio University is needing the tuition from these hoodlums.

They should be locked up -- for a long time, not just suspended or expelled.

It's no wonder prisons are full -- the ones that the universities ignore are problems later for all of society. If universities and colleges make all their students accountable, all of their students would benefit.

Send these guys to Iraq. Don't let those talents go to waste.

It's true that they are maturing mentally much later, if ever, nowadays. These four left their parents' basement spare rooms too early.

This is something a dweeb might do in junior high maybe.

The names Daniel Rambacher, Thomas Grasso, Andrew Upperman and Michael Detweiler, their home towns and a crossreference to Ohio University and this article have been entered into our DO NOT HIRE file. Thank you Dispatch. Let McDonalds hire these lackwits

Can't say that these guys invented a new level of stupidity. I recall hearing about similar things in guy dorms when I was in school. Doing it the second time certainly lacks creativity, and the issue of imprisonment warrants charges.

I love how the Dispatch blows this out of proportion. I know the kids who did and I know about the situation. These kids are not bad kids, and everynody makes mistakes. This was a prank. They knew they make a mistake the second time they did it, and acknowledged they weren't thinking. Doing this does not make them bad people, or unhirable as that one comment states. They were not exactly "good" friends with the RA, but they were nice to him, acknowledged him, and never was a problem for him, and even hung out once in a while. This article has very unaccurate facts which shows the media and sway the opinions of society. None of you know them, so there is no reason for you all to judge them. I know them, and I can judge them as good people making a mistake they will never make again, and they have certainly learned their lesson. They are also very scared during this time so you all need to understand that as well. And if you, yourself, have never made a stupid mistake you regreted the moment you did it, you can cast the first stone.

Everybody is blowing things way out of proportion. These were just some guys that got bored a couple of nights and thought it would be funny pull a prank on the RA. OU should set up activities for students to participate in so things like this don't happen.

Why are people over a certain income level expected to accept responsibility for their actions? Don't be so judgemental!

This is ridiculous. These kids are in their first year of college and are out trying to have a good time. Sure, this was a stupid idea, but don't be so harsh on young kids. I am shocked that Ohio University treats their own paying students with such harshness. Give the kids a break.

I agree that the dispatch has significantly warped the seriousness of this petty crime. I lived in the same building as all four of these guys and am good friends with all of them. I just want to let it be known that all this was, was an ill-advised prank. While I agree that it was immature and resembles high school behavior, you have to realize that this event took place before finals week. We had all been holed up in our rooms studying for hours on end and these guys were just looking to have some fun while they had a little break in the action to keep them from going out of thier minds. Trust me, they meant no harm by it. These are all good guys who had good grades and worked hard in school. They just slipped up one night and made a stupid mistake and got caught. Im sure all of you have made bad decisions too. The only difference between you and them is that they got caught. Trust me, they have all learned thier lesson and are extremely regretful. Cut em a damn break.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Scorpio

If you're feeling brave enough, you should get out all your receipts`, and then tot up how much you've spent this month. Or don't you have the courage to do so? It will be far better to know the truth than to pretend that everything's all right. But don't let it spoil what promises to be a delightfully enjoyable and rather emotional day.
