Storms blow through northwest Kansas
Local emergency personnel were on high alert Saturday as fast-developing storms brought a wild collection of weather events throughout the state.

A large outbreak of tornadoes across Kansas on Saturday hadn't resulted in any reported injuries as the twisters struck mostly rural areas in central and northeast Kansas, officials said.

Hodgeman County Sheriff Ronald Ridley says a tornado touched down at approximately 2:46 p.m. in the area south of K-156 and SW 232 near the community of Gray.
