Former commissioner killed in wreck

A Lumberton man died Tuesday afternoon when his pick-up ran over top of a low-boy trailer towed by another truck, Department of Public Safety officials said.

Lumberton PD Chief: Teen confesses to church arson

Lumberton Police Chief Danny Sullins tells KFDM News a 19 year old from Lumberton has confessed to setting a fire that heavily damaged Fletcher Emanuel Church Alive in December, and the chief says the suspect admitted setting the fire to erase evidence he burglarized the church and took money.
