Fire destroys Fort Wright house
A house in Fort Wright was destroyed by fire at about 1 a.m. Sunday. The house in the 1600 block of Amsterdam Avenue was a total loss when firefighters from Fort Wright, Fort Mitchell, Park Hills and Ludlow fire departments arrived on the scene, Fort Wright firefighter Greg Aylor said Sunday.
Up to two inches of rain fell late Tuesday as a fast-moving thunderstorm swept across Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, causing hail, flash flooding, power outages and downed trees.
