NEWPORT - Leaders from seven Northern Kentucky cities met on a bocce court in Newport on Wednesday to compete and kick off this year's Newport Italianfest.

The Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce 's 50-member Consensus Committee has chosen eight projects as priorities for state funding during upcoming sessions of the Kentucky General Assembly.

COVINGTON -- Constructing a replacement for the Brent Spence Bridge is Northern Kentucky's top infrastructure priority, a regional committee that lobbies for funding is expected to announce Wednesday.

A house in Fort Wright was destroyed by fire at about 1 a.m. Sunday. The house in the 1600 block of Amsterdam Avenue was a total loss when firefighters from Fort Wright, Fort Mitchell, Park Hills and Ludlow fire departments arrived on the scene, Fort Wright firefighter Greg Aylor said Sunday.
