Assistance being accepted for Lowgap fire victims
The blaze, which occurred at a mobile home on Big Oak Lane in the Flippin Road area, apparently was sparked by an electrical malfunction near an outlet, according to a Surry County Fire Marshal's Office investigator who ruled it accidental.
Early morning fire destroys Lowgap residence
A Lowgap man who was awakened by a fire at his residence early Monday was able to escape, but the single-wide mobile home was destroyed, officials say.
