The Seward Chamber of Commerce, CVB has selected former Seward Mayor Willard Dunham for the 2011 recipient of Person of the Year award.

On Nov. 15, Seward resident Jim Herbert was walking the beach on the south side of Lowell Point, exercising his dogs while trying to escape the fierce 60 mile an hour north winds that were sweeping Seward and Resurrection Bay.

Salmon Creek Road is now open for traffic but there are low hanging phone/cable wires so people still need to be wary and watch out for these.A Seward Dispatch has been advised that several people have been spending time sitting in their vehicles with them running to stay warm.A This may warrant AST doing some welfare checks on these folks.A Be ...
