He wants to be a tough guy. Let him learn about life on his own, He will either end up dead, a criminal, or learn a lesson
Lets hope for the later.
If not oh well

But you know now when you whip your children you go to jail..Thats why there is so much crime going on now..Out of control teens with no discipline. I'm a single mom, and i'm gonna whoop them and go to jail if i have to. Then when i get out, im gonna whoop them because now i gotta pay all these court fees..You never win. Antways i will pray for Mateo to get home safe, I feel his moms pain. Not knowing where your kid is and if they are ok is The Most Scariest Feeling..

The kids run the households these days. This is the result of a lifetime of weak parenting.

When I was a kid, we had nothing to take away. We got a smack on the behind.

I do feel for this mother, I hope her boy turns up safe.

Isn't that the truth? When we were kids, we didn't have ipods, cellphones, computers and the like. It was do what your told or get a kick in the rear. Now you do that you go to jail for abuse of a child. I am not saying this is the best route to take, but lets stop giving our children all of these things and actually make them earn and deserve them. Good Luck to the Mom regardless. I cannot imagine the stress she feels. Ask for help Mom, it sounds like you need it. Fix that boy before it is too late.

I agree with most of these posts, Parents now a days take it to easy on their kids. I mean you gotta let them know what the rules are and whats right and wrong at an early age or they're just going to take advantage of you when they get older, and where you live is NO excuse, I grew up in the ghetto but under a house of strict rules.

I guess I am missing something here; the teen gets up IN THE MORNING and is sent back to bed?

Why? being suspensed from school isnt like having the flu. This boy should have been up and dressed and assigned some type of chore for the day.

And, Mom went back to bed?

Perhaps she could have instead taken the opportunity to make some breakfast for the two of them and see that the boy had something constructive to do with his day.

I guess he learned a lot about responsibility from home.

So he is suspended from school, and his mom lets him sleep in? Then he left the house? She thinks nothing of it? He is not punished? I am guessing when he is in trouble he will call mom to bail him out, and she will come running.

Such a rock in a hard spot. These kids are taught they do not have to except punishment. Just go to a teacher or police officer and complain, then the parent is the one in trouble. I am very lucky to have raised two great kids that I am proud of. Time have changed since a lot of us were kids, when you could get a slap on the behind if need be .Hope everything works out for this family.

That's a good point. But now I am wondering, In the past year "Who has been arrested for spanking their kids." Anyone Know? Don't worry....I'll wait.

Daily Horoscope for December 17

Pisces

If you want to make the best of the day you should lock yourself away and work on your own. This will make it easier to concentrate, especially if you're trying to focus on something that's fiddly or difficult. If you've got something on your mind at the moment it will be worth having a quiet word in someone's ear because they'll help you to get things into their proper perspective.
