Lee Gauze, Director of the Martin County Emergency Management, has released information concerning the cleanup process following the March 2 tornado that damaged over 120 homes, some of which, were completely destroyed.

He and his employees have been working around the clock to assess the tornado damage that devastated numerous local residents in an attempt to begin the tedious, nerve wracking task of helping restore some sense of normalcy in their lives.

Two people have been killed after an early morning crash. Their truck plunged off an embankment around 6 a.m. Tuesday in rural Martin County.
