Wildflowers bloom after the big burn

“And rewarding. I'm happy to see it.”

Nature has been recovering from devastation, be it man-made or nature made, for more years then man has inhabited the earth. When a fire starts from natural causes, it is the process of getting rid of old growth to make way for new growth. This will happen no matter what the cause of the fire. The wisest thing for humans to do is to live with the land and be aware of the risks of building in such areas. Living among nature's wonders means you take the risks as well. Build carefully and consider the nature of the area where you choose to live. Mother Nature knows what she is doing, help but don't hinder.

My complements to photographer, Tina Burch.... what a gorgeous shot! And my hat's off to Mother Nature... what a nice recovery!
