If the Mayor really wanted the Feds to go after the "criminals", then why does he not want Special Order 40 to be implemented? He wants all illegals to stay even if they are the worst of the worst. Why should we keep the child molestors, gang bangers, and a lot of Mexican men are perverts and they buy strawberry hookers. They are very nasty.

It's about time.

Let the raids continue. If the industries paid a fair wage, there would be no need for illegal aliens.

We have illegal aliens working for our City and State. I would like to see the raids at our Los Angeles schools. People would be surprised to see just how many illegal aliens work for LAUSD.

As does them staying here...

My county estimated something like 33 million dollars due to the illegals.

Eventually it will all work out. There may be some gaps but things will balance out in the end if this is done right and along with welfare reform to make sure the jobs vacated are filled.

The raids will save taxpayers BILLIONS of dollar every year.

These businesses that depend on Illegal aliens better get used to the raids. If they want to keep their business they had better start hiring legal workers.

And if they think they can flee to other American cities where they can hire Illegal aliens thinking they are "friendly" towards Illegal aliens they had better think again because the laws are starting to be enforced Nation Wide!

LA has become the newest addition to Mexico, only problem Americans are totally unaware of it. Get used to the idea of speaking Spanish because all three presidential hopefools want to give these people amnesty. Which will only bring in another 30 million over the next 5 years. We have a huge problem here in Northern CA with these TB infected people making this their new home. Mexico has always wanted CA back after it lost it the war, so what they can't take by force they take by occupation!

It's not the president that enacts laws, it's the legislature. The president can only sign or reject the bills. It's up to the people to convince the congress and senate that they do not want any type of amnesty.

It's impossible to have a discussion without hearing from a racist. Illegal immigration is a legitimate discussion. However, there will always be someone that sees racism as a way to influence the discussion.

I hope Obama is elected. Maybe then some of these undereducated, low class bigots will leave our country. As a nation we'd do much better without them. It would be nice if the bigots could be deported along with the illegal aliens.

In your case, are you both – a bigot and an illegal alien?

The business leaders need to get a grip on reality and realize game is over with using illegal aliens to line their pockets. The end result does not justify the means when it comes to using illegal aliens.

(1)Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama is urging Gov. Schwarzenegger to sign legislation extending state financial aid to illegal immigrant college students.

The so-called DREAM Act would allow illegal immigrant students who graduate from California high schools to apply for Cal Grant Loans, and community college fee waivers.

Sen. Barack Obama helped pass a similar bill while serving in the Illinois State Senate and is now pushing California to do the same.

"Governor Schwarzenegger now has the chance to demonstrate that instead of blaming one group for the challenges America faces, he can unite Californians and give children who play by the rules the opportunity to succeed," Obama said in released statement.

(2)Obama, addressing the National Council of La Raza's annual convention in
Miami Beach last week, called the debate that defeated the Senate
immigration bill "both ugly and racist in a way we haven't see since the
struggle for civil rights" and pointed to his marching in the May 2006
immigration rallies in his appeal for the group's support.

"Find out how many senators appeared before an immigration rally last year,"
he said. "Who was talking the talk, and who walked the walk ? because I
walked.

"I didn't run away from the issue, and I didn't just talk about it in front
of Latino audiences."

Obama has said while debating on TV that he supports a path way to
citizenship for the 12-20 million illegal aliens in our country. It would
include paying a fine,Learning English and going to the back of the line. I
wonder what line he's talking about? Immigrants waiting in other countries
are waiting in line. The illegal aliens that are here would remain here and
continue to work and draw benefits (which will be paid for by the American
tax payer.) He also wants to give a college education to the children of
illegal aliens (The Dream Act),an a Driver License to their parents. I call
it amnesty , it didn't work in 1986 and it won't work now.The sad part is
when American citizens post something like this we're call racists which is
not true. For most of us,we only want everyone that enters out country to do
it legally. The inscription at the base of the Statute of Liberty concludes,
"I lift my lamp beside the golden door!" It says nothing about welcoming
people who bypass our entry points by climbing walls, swimming rivers and
sneaking under border fences.

I've read Obama's position on illegal aliens. I've heard his speeches. And what I say is as president; his positions on illegal aliens are only his thoughts and can not take effect without a passing vote in the House and Senate.

Neither Hillary nor McCain or any person that wins the presidency can change the laws. People say Reagan is responsible for the last amnesty because he signed the legislation that was passed by the House and Senate.

If the majority of Americans do not want amnesty, all they have to do is make their positions known to their elected representatives and make sure that no amnesty legislation is passed in the House or Senate.

As for Schwarzenegger, right now California is broke. Our hospitals are closing and our schools are turning in failing grades. We have illegal aliens killing US citizens and street gangs supported by the Mexican Mafia and the Mexican drug cartels. Arnold Schwarzenegger has to do every thing he can to stop the violence and save our hospitals and schools. He has to appeal to his constituents. If he turns on his constituents – his future in politics is over.

People have the power to effect change but that requires writing their elected representatives and making calls. Again if the majority of Americans do not want an amnesty bill, it will never pass the Senate or the House.

Hart-Celler Act hearings 1965 Quote: Senate immigration subcommittee chairman Edward Kennedy (D-MA.) reassured his colleagues and the nation with the following:

"First, our cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually. Under the proposed bill, the present level of immigration remains substantially the same ... Secondly, the ethnic mix of this country will not be upset ... Contrary to the charges in some quarters,[the bill] will not inundate America with immigrants from any one country or area, or the most populated and deprived nations of Africa and Asia ... In the final analysis, the ethnic pattern of immigration under the proposed measure is not expected to change as sharply as the critics seem to think."

Sen. Kennedy concluded by saying,

"The bill will not flood our cities with immigrants. It will not upset the ethnic mix of our society. It will not relax the standards of admission. It will not cause American workers to lose their jobs." (U.S. Senate, Subcommittee on Immigration and Naturalization of the Committee on the Judiciary, Washington, D.C., Feb. 10, 1965. pp. 1-3.)

"This amnesty will give citizenship to only 1.1 to 1.3 million illegal aliens. We will secure the borders henceforth. We will never again bring forward another amnesty bill like this."

-- Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy on the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986

Obama is stupid then. At every twist and turn, latinos have voiced their support for Clinton with the exception of Bill Richards and a few others. The only thing he owes them is a pathway to Mexico.

The reason Hilary gets so much latino support is because she makes promises that can not be kept. I think hard working latinos that are legaly here or where born here need to rise up against those that only give lationos a bad name. Enough is enough.

Lots of luck. American Hispanics are well known for their support of the illegal alien population, all you have to do is watch the news or read the newspapers!
