San Jose to tackle issue of bicyclists with leashed dogs

hey, where can *I* Lease a dog??

I use a commercial product called a 'springer' for my dog/s when I'm working them on a bicycle.

Only a foolish nerd would use just a leash with a dog on a bike.

Do a search on dog springer. I do modify it as it's marketed for girlies and girly boys with a break away device. I remove the breakaway device so the dog will not ever leave my control, and I use a couple back up collars on the dog. A flat so he can pull on the springer, and another leash, loose, on a pinch collar in case he backs out of the flat.

Dog handlers aren't known for a lotta brains, for sure. I hope this helps, but I doubt that most can be taught much.
