Pregnant migrant rescued from desert

Salvadoran illegal alien. She didn't do the paperwork required. She is hardly a "migrant".

I just left the Deming area and moved back East. I for one do not understand how anyone could be so cruel as to leave a pregnant woman in the desert. I know to some these people are nothing but money to them. Well, here a news flash for you they are human beings and deserve to be treated as such.

The real newsflash is that she will not be charged with a crime and her rescue and subsequent medical care, housing, and other expenses for the three of them will be paid for by the US taxpayer.

Let me state this:
This article shows what people from all over
the world think of the U.S.A.
"The AMERICAN Dream".
What they will go thru to get here.
It's just to bad that our ELECTED PUBLIC
OFFICIALS take America for granted.
"GOD BLESS AMERICA"
and everything it stands for.

While I agree with the sentiment I don't know why an editorial comment is included in a news story.

The sacrifices people will go through to give their family a chance at a better life is amazing. No doubt she was looking for all that cash that can be made as a housekeeper, dish washer, or other skills jobs available to her.

Here's a news flash for you. No one left here in the desert. She is now receiving the best medical care in the world courtersy of cash strapped Americans. Why do U.S. citizens have to be slaves? They are human beings too and deserved to be treated as such.

hopefully her hospital is not in Joe Arpaio's Arizona voting district. I work with too many families already torn apart by his political ambitions.

One of the few times I'll agree with you Rogue Hunter. Yes, GOD BLESS AMERICA. Even with its problems, it is still one of the greatest places in the world to live, and it amazes me how people will go through pretty much anything to get here, even pregnant women.

A coyote dumped them, seemed like the other person, perhaps it was her husband, went to get help for her. No, they didn't go through the legal system to get here, but I don't think many of us would turn their backs on a woman expecting a baby that was stranded in the desert. I applaud the Border Patrol for helping her, going all that way through that terrain to bring her to safety on a stretcher they made, they should feel good about what they did.

So, for the rest of you that just see "another illegal" that snuck in.........could you have left her there to die ?

The information was provided by an El Salvadoran migrant who stated that he and his wife were abandoned by a " coyote" in the desert near Apache, Ariz., the day prior when they could not keep up with the other smuggled members of the group. The man said he was forced to leave his pregnant wife in the hills somewhere between Horseshoe Canyon and Jackwood Canyon, south of Apache."

PlacitassRoy, Can we assume that you will be picking up the tab for her medical expenses? Or will you check her ideology to make sure she's not a conservative before you shell out your dollars?

My preference would have been for her to stay in Mexico with her ignorant husband. It's surprising that you didn't ante up some of your own money to either provide for the baby or to have it aborted.

Joe Arpaio was ELECTED BY THE CITIZENS OF ARIZONA. Illegals are illegal and have no say in anything really. Also, if you know anything about the demographics of Arizona, you would know that he can't get elected without strong support from the LEGAL Hispanics who live there. They too know what their cousins south of the border are doing and don't want AZ to become ANYTHING LIKE MEXICO. Do some research. Figure out the facts and then open your mouth. OK? Joe is over 85, he doesn't have any political ambitions. What he does have is the support of Arizonans who don't want to live as we do in NM.

Nobody is against rescuing her! We are against he presence to begin with. Big difference. Did she think about how this affects other humans in America? Or did she selfishly only think about her plight in life? Don't play the "sympathy card" that works about as much as the fake "race card" these days. Heard it before, waiting for a new argument.
