Two local women charged for weapons, drugs
State troopers say two women were arrested on Wednesday night on Route 17 in the town of Thompson after they were pulled over for several traffic violations and officers found drugs, a switchblade knife and a billy club in their car.
The Upper Delaware Council staff call it an 'incompatible use,' while one private-property rights advocate says it is the 'American dream.' At issue is the increasingly contentious issue of natural gas extraction in the Upper Delaware region, as competing interests stake their claims.
