I got a chance to watch her new video Gay Parenting. It brought tears to my eyes. Melange is an amazing lyricist and I hope one day people can look past the peripheral and just listen to the lyrics. You are amazingly talented Melange!! I wish you much success and happiness.

It's sad that people in this day and age can't have an open mind and just let the music speak for itself. I'm not gay but I 100% support the gay and lesbiam community. I will def be at Pride this saturday showing support!

Gay parenting brings tears to the eyes of many who will never know a proper relationship with a mother and father.

Apparently your parents didn't get it right either. You're hateful and ignorant. So much for the superiority of traditional families in bringing up open minded, intelligent children.

Most people would say if they had a choice between a nice gay couple, or a nice real mom and dad, they would instinctively pick the traditional mom and dad.
Women can't substitute for father figures, as men don't do as well as the real thing.
So I'm afraid you're ignorant, stupid, and are nursing some kind of pathology, and the sad thing is,
you don't even know it.

Yeah, I hope gay marriage prevails against hate. I was at yesterday's gay parade and it was great. I'm straight, but have a few gay friends.

Normality will prevail in November. Being gay is fine - but married??? Now you have people's attention and that nonsense will get squashed in November '08.

I grew up in a "traditional family." Dad was an angry drunk and beat my sister and I if we looked at him wrong. By the time I was nine I had my right arm broken twice, a severe concussion that gave me migraines and nose bleeds to this day. I was hit so hard with my Little League bat in the knee that I have had four surgeries and finally a complete knee replacement two years ago. I could go on and on, but think you get the point. Mom did what she could to help, but I absolutely believe she willed her illness to escape his daily verbal abuse with every tear that ran down her pretty cheek. She died of ovarian cancer at thirty-four. I swear on the grave of this kind and gentle lady that this is the truth.
Traditional Marriage? Oh God.

After OBAMA wins, WE are going to go after AMERICA'S CHURCHES! THAT'S RIGHT - EVERY CHURCH IN THIS LAND THAT PERFORMS HETEROSEXUAL WEDDINGS WILL BE REQUIRED TO PERFORM HOMOSEXUAL WEDDINGS TOO!!! EQUAL MEANS EQUAL!!! ANY CHURCH THAT DOES NOT ADHERE TO THIS NEW LAW WILL LOSE ITS TAX EXEMPT STATUS AND RECEIVE OTHER PENALTIES!!!!!

And then, after that, we are going after the OLYMPICS!! We should be allowed to participate in PAIRS SKATING!!!

You are actually correct in your reasoning. There are studies that show children who grow up in gay households generally do well in life, and MOST children who have gay parents end up being straight (go figure, but it's true). It is way way way better for a child to grow up in a stable, loving gay/lesbian household than a miserable traditional household. I used to be very very much against gays adopting children, but after seeing and reading about how children of gay households so so well, I changed my mind, and I think it is okay for gays/lesbians to adopt kids, assuming they go through the same strict screening as regular couples. I am straight, but I know at least 7 people who are gay/lesbian that I am friends with, and they are all great people who never cause any problems for anybody and would go out of their way to help others.

Thanks for the Psych 101 analysis. Apparently, those community classes are really working for you. By the way, to call me ignorant and stupid rather redundant don't you think? Are you trying to use as many words as possible?

By the way, to claim that either gender can't substitute for the other is rather simplistic. What about single parent homes? Are they bad parents becasue a mate is missing?
