Boy who saved 7-year-old when canoe overturned gets Carnegie heroism medal

An Alabama 19-year-old who saved a 7-year-old boy while also trying to save the boy's 42-year-old father when their canoe capsized on the Locust Fork of the Black Warrior River in Warrior, Ala., on March 27 was among 23 people who have been honored with Carnegie medals for heroism.
