Obviously some one out there doesn't like our dog control officer. I have always found the situation to be in complete reverse. Mrs Black would come as soon as she received the message. If I called the police they would NOT respond nor would they contact the control officer even when they claimed they had. My dog was attacked by a neighbors pit bull. The police came. I called Joni the next day and she had not received the report. I filed a dangerous dog report. We went to court and the at large dog was determined by Judge DiMillio to be dangerous. The next day that same dog bit a child. The police came. I called the station and informed them this dog had already been deemed dangerous and needed to be taken in. I was told Mrs Black was off duty. I contacted Mrs. Black the next day. Other neighbors had also left her messages but she had no report from the police. If a dog that Mrs Black brought in was euthanised. It Needed to be!

I too had a situation like that. There was an aggressive dog that I called the police on. Not only did they not come out to check, they told me the control officer was on vacation. The next day I called and told her what happened. There was no report or record of it. If she doesn't know what happened how can she do anything about it. Sounds like a cooperation problem. However, after I told her the story she acted that day to make certain the dog was secured and the owner was ticketed. I believe this happens far too often with complaints that fall on deaf ears. Glad I moved to God's country last month.

I think it's the reporter that doesn't like Joni. The reporter must have something to do with Eastern Niagara Animal group. She went back to Oct.4 to run something negative on Oct.20, just before the committee made a decision. Shame on you.
