Prep is the worst part of course. Doctors kept telling me for five years that my rectal bleeding was just hemmorhoids. When I finally persuaded one to order a colonoscopy (could not find anyone to do one without a referral from another doctor)it revealed cancer in 3 places. After 6 surgeries in the last 10 years, I am truly blessed to still be alive. Get a colonoscopy. Demand one if you have symptoms.
