Oh no! Not another Roman Polanski protégé! Damn, now Whoopie and the rest of the secular immoral Holly-weird illiterates have yet another child pedophile hero to worship in Liberal Land South!

So what happens to this Totten P O S now? I'm guessing they can't do much compared to what he deserves... at least he's on their radar screen now though. Good job!

I have known Jeffery Totten for many years. I would never have thought him capable of what he has been accused of in this story. Though I don't condone what the story alleges he has done I don't believe he should be stoned to death. He needs counseling and he needs the support of his family and friends. Let's hope he can turn his life around and become the law abiding man I know.
If you read this Jeffery; know that you still have friends that believe in you.

What is taking a child's innocence worth to you?

Yeah that's usually the way it is with molesters, they are often people you would never suspect. That's often how they get away with it too -- the children they molest often think no one would believe them if they said something because the person involved is well respected. We don't stone people to death here in America, but we do punish child molesters rather than coddle them. If he felt he needed counseling for issues related to having been molested himself he could have done that; instead he chose to continue the chain of harm.

Never assume anything. One of the 4 agreements. I'm glad you aren't on the jury. In this country everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty. This is why we live in America. Hopefully we can get a fair trial and be judged by our peers.

Don't judge lest ye be judged. I'm not even sure how to answer your question. A child's innocence is not for sale. As I said to the other post...we live in America where you are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Get off your high horse!!! You are only hearing part of the story and even that is sketchy.

While I understand that you may be having trouble with the idea that someone you know might be guilty of trying to have sex with a youngster, please understand that predators do not necessarily wear trench coats and act malevolent. I'm not on any high horse, but I'm pretty sure than any man who attempts to seduce a child is scum no matter how you cut it. The allegations are that he sent lewd pictures of himself to a 12 year old, and offered to meet up.

I'm all ears - what's your theory as to how this guy is innocent?

You yourself said he needs counseling. That is also passing judgment. Of course he is entitled to a trial -- this is America. By the same token we are also entitled to express our opinions.
