After several weeks of information gathering and four town hall meetings, the Prairie View Buildings/Facilities Committee voted Sunday evening on its final recommendation to the Prairie View USD 362 Board of Education.

A fundraiser was held on Saturday, Oct. 22 for the Giving Tree, an organization which helps provide Christmas gifts for underprivileged children in the La Cygne and Linn Valley area.

Rock the Light that was held at Youthfront east of Linn Valley last weekend hosted, according to concert representatives, reportedly 10,000 people over the three day period.

Mary Elaine White, 68, Louisburg, died May 25, 2011, at St. Luke's South Hospital, Overland Park.
