Southern Curry County wells going dry
When Darlene Upham purchased her south Curry County property in 1982, it was supposed to be her retirement home, but 29 years and two water wells later her dream has turned into nightmare.

Domestic wells in some areas of Curry County are drying up, while Roosevelt County wells are still pumping, although with often with less volume, according to the Office of the State Engineer.

The trip started at the New Mexico/Arizona state line east of Springerville, Ariz., on US 60 at 9:38 a.m. and was completed at the the New Mexico/Texas border east of Tatum, N.M. on US 380 at 5:34 a.m. March 27.
