This is a perfect example of the lack of common sense when it comes to gun laws. Here we have a convicted felon, who not only is in possession of a firearm but committed two more felonies by stealing the firearm in the first place and then selling the firearm illegally. He has both firearm charges dropped, pleads guilty to "selling stolen property" and then has his entire sentence suspended.

Meanwhile, liberals want to pass more gun laws, restricting the constitutional rights of law abiding citizens to keep and bear arms. Mr. Neff should be in prison right now, serving time for every charge that the Commonwealth could possibly convict him of. Instead of that, further down in the same article, we have people being sent to jail and prison for driving on a suspended license and stealing from a store.

I'm certainly not saying that thieves shouldn't pay for their crimes but sentencing but allowing a previously convicted felon to walk scot free after being found in possession of a stolen firearm, which he then either sold, or attempted to sell while those convicted of non violent crimes are sent to prison shows the futility of passing more gun laws, abridging the rights of law abiding citizens, while we're not even enforcing the gun laws that are on the books now effectively.

The judge in this case and the commmonwealth's attorney in this case should be held accountable for their incompetence and failure to prosectute.
