Maybe I am being simplistic, but how much does it cost to keep open a damn walking/biking trail?

If it "closes" people should still use it. If they try to lock it up, it's time for civil disobedience.

Arnold wants to save MONEY with these closures so he can build more PRISONS so when KIDS don't get a decent education because of those cuts they have some place to go when they get older.

Please do not forget that the marsh in the Benicia State Park was, for a long time, a dump. It was unregulated and then caught fire to burn for many years. It is not "prestine".

Yes, didn't Urbie Braito own it? He had the dump that is now under Rose Drive/Columbus Parkway. Those tires burnt and belched black smoke for years. Benicia was my hometown, lived there from 1958 to 1986. Growing up I lived on the last house on West K Street, the one with the windmill and wharf across the street. We had a lovely view of the burning tires! So pristine is only a word, the tires are still there, along with God knows what. Unless they post signs that state "No Trespassing", "Trespassers will be arrested", I don't think you'd even realize that the State Park would be closed. The only problem for anyone visiting would be that they would probably find the vehicle entrance locked up with a State Park is closed sign. I doubt that would stop all the runners, walkers, and those bicycling from enjoying it.
