Teenage motorcyclist killed near Kearney

Full story: Kansas City Star

Kyle Myers, 18, of Liberty, was killed about 5 p.m. Saturday when his motorcycle was struck by a car at an intersection near Kearney in Clay County .The Missouri Highway Patrol said Myers was eastbound on N.E. 164 Street when his motorcycle struck a westbound car making a left turn onto Ray Lee Drive.

I am not lying that was my friends mother in the car that was STRUCK by the motorcycle. I feel so deeply bad for the family that lost their son but the newspapers are all telling the story like it was the cars fault. He ran into them not the other way around. The woman had her grand daughter in the car and would have never put her nor anyone else in danger on purpose. I am sure the boys family is having a horrible time with this but so is my friends whole family. I feel so bad for the family and the woman driving whos name I will not say.

My heart goes out to Alex's family...people really need to be more considerate of motorcyclists. I hope that lady goes to jail!! She should have been paying more attention!!
