Good work with article on autistic scout

I read your article ('Choosing scouts a right turn,' Sept. 19 Olathe Neighborhood News') and I thought it a great one. It shows what can be done with a little patience, and that good that's come out of this young man.

We need to see more things like this in our papers. My niece e-mailed it to me because she knew that I have been involved with youth in scouting and think it is the best program in the world for kids.

I started a Troop in 1987 in this small southwest town of Lewis, Kan. There were 500 people living there, including 21 boys, all of whom were Tenderfoot in rank with no Cub Scout experience among them. Read more
