As an adoptive father of 4 children this story not only makes my heart break for the child but, makes me frustrated with our legal system. No biological parent male or female should have any rights to this child.

I would urge all adoptive parents to seek a change in the adoption laws in your states terminating parental rights quicker and making preadoption agreements, that are processed in the court, legally binding.

I pray that there is a family out there who will open their home and receive the love in this child God wants you to have.

You don't explain why this abandonment is the fault of both parents instead of just one parent. If one parent unilaterally abandoned the child, then why would the other parent or family members not have any due process rights?

You also don't explain why you're frustrated with the courts instead of frustrated with Congress, who enacted the Adoption and Safe Families Act which requires information about the parents for adptive parents to qualify for subsidies.

The AFSA also requires the state consider a relative placement preference. It seems you blame the entire biological family for the child's abandonment. Obviously you do harbor a prejudice against the entire biological family, because without knowing the facts behind the abandonment, your conclusions lack a reasonable basis. You've obviously projected facts into this situation to suit your own mentality.

You bring up some good points but, Where were the others when the baby came up missing and this birth mother came up not pregnant and with out a baby.

If a family member or girlfriend or wife is pregnant and not just a little pregnant as in first trimester pregnant then They knew she was pregnant. Then she has the baby and abandons the child and no one questions her or reports to the police what has happened!!

It may have been the fault of only one parent but, again that means the the other parent was not involved enought to care about the out come of child.

You show that you have no compassion for this child because, you are trying to protect someone and their family who have not stepped forward, after abandonning a child. It is an undefenseable act and yes no person from that biological family should have custody because not one of the are aware enough to know that this has happened or it would have been reportrd to the police and this birth mother would be taken in an helped.

And your mentallity is why so many kids in our country are abused and returned to homes to continue to be abused. Defend the offender til the victim is dead!!

This is sick.I dont think parents deserve to have the baby back. They should be charged for abandonment. The baby could have been harmed. So careless.
Who says they wont abandon again if they claim him back?

Pro Choice, less irresponsibility, pro choice.....Children are collateral damage of forced birth....Ohio is a "preferred birth" state isn't this nice? what a lovely story..NOT!

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Scorpio

If something is bothering you, it's important that you say so now, loudly and clearly. It's no good bottling things up any longer because that will only lead to resentment and a slow-burning anger. However, it's important that you know when to shut up too, otherwise you might overstate your case or sound so demanding that you turn others against you.
