World War II veteran Nelson Spencer, 83, of Holbrook, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Aug.

The dispatcher reported that the woman was hysterical and crying on the phone, pleading with police to come and help her son, Hinton William Jr., no age given, of Cameron, Ariz.

Lambert Dixson Sr., 45, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2009, in Phoenix. Funeral services were held July 1 at First Indian Baptist Church in Winslow.

Arizona Department of Public Safety investigators have determined that tire failure was the cause of a May 12 accident on Interstate 40 near the Leupp exit that claimed the life of 46-year-old Lane Roundy of Holbrook.

Longtime Holbrook resident Lane Roundy, 46, died from injuries he sustained in an accident that occurred at approximately 12:47 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, on Interstate 40 near the Leupp exit.
