Business Casual: New ideas to go with your coffee now that Bikini Espresso has closed

Judging by the 70-and-counting reader comments on the Daily Breeze Web site, the closing of the South Bay's only drive-through bikini coffee shop struck a chord with many local residents.

Right idea(?), wrong place.

Perhaps relocating the shop to the Del Amo Mall's life style wing would work.

I don't think this a good location for any business. They'd have to have coffee good enough -- if not better -- to compete with all of the other coffee places that surround it and a tasty "to-go" menu that can compete with McDonalds across the street. But then, it's not just the food... I've noticed that at other coffee houses there's plenty of seating and tables for socializing and/or studying, so apparently, it's more than just the coffee. Folks like to be in a place where they can "hang out" with their friends to chat over a cup of java, and this place just doesn't offer that.
