Cross Texas Transmission will host two public open houses to gather comments on a proposed high-voltage line to carry wind energy between Lefors and White Deer.

Hereford will soon have a new hospital. Deaf Smith County voters approved a proposition to allow the hospital district to issue $28 million in bonds to pay for a new 80,000-square-foot, 41-bed medical center on 15th Street in Hereford.
