Melissa Fowlkes is the granddaughter of Darrell and Jane Fowlkes Sr. of Alexandria and Denis and Sue Brady of Lecompte. The bride-elect graduated from Holy Savior Menard High School, completed her undergraduate degree in both biology and communication disorders, and also holds a Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology at University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Melissa currently works for The Therapy Center of Jefferson Davis Parish as a Speech Language Pathologist. Charles McTire is the son of Joe McTire of Pineville and the late Angela Foster of Alexandria. Charles is the grandson of Jim and Carol Rayner of Alexandria and Charles and Shirley McTire of Pineville. The groom-elect graduated from Holy Savior Menard Central High School and obtained a Bachelors degree of Science in Electrical Engineering at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Charles is currently an Electrical Engineer at Central Electric Company of Alexandria. The couple plan to unite in marriage June 1, 2013 during a 7 p.m. ceremony at the Alexandria Golf and Country Club with the reception to immediately follow. The couple plans to make their home in Alexandria.
