New Boston Middle School holds the first of Bowie County's BASE graduations for fifth- and sixth-graders at 9:50 a.m. today.

The area's annual quartet convention will be 7 p.m. today at the Oaklawn Opry, 124 Oaklawn Village Shopping Center.
