The Cherokee Nation is hooking up an emergency waterline in Oaks after a record hot summer left the town's well dry and its residents without water.

Add Oaks to the list of towns fed up with Oklahoma's cruel summer. Water, or lack thereof, has caused the town to practically dry up.

TAHLEQUAH, Okla.- The Cherokee Nation continues to work with the City of Oaks to help bring an end to the community's water troubles.
