What is MTA? It's the Mendocino County Transit Authority the public bus service, of course but so much more: the Willits Rider, the CC Rider, Dial-a-Ride and, most recently, E-Ride. I am an 82-year-old disabled senior who lives eight miles north of Willits.

Salmon Creek resident Chris Giauque -- who would have been 45 this year -- disappeared in 2003 after conducting a marijuana-related business transaction in Mendocino County.
