Crab's Claw is a Nostalgic Stroll

My family and I have been coming to the Crabs Claw since it was the Lavallette Hotel. My family has been here for 59 years. Love Lavallette , there is not a better place on earth. It has stayed the same, no crime and everyone still says hello on the boardwalk. I think mostly all the people watch out for each other still.The street signs at the top of all the streets use to be so cute with the names and different pictures on each. I miss that. They do not do that any more. The badges use to be metal too. Now they cost more and are plastic , what happen? Just some little things Lavallette had that others didn't. But still love my Lavallette!!!!!!! Oh also miss the peek a poo store.Any one remember that? See you in the summer!

I've been to the Crab's Claw many times. I'm a local and I keep giving it another chance but the food stinks. In all my years of living down here, over 57, I've never had a good meal there. In season or out of season, the food has never changed, sorry to say..We need real cooks, people that know how to cook. I love Lav. but ....

Haven't been to the Crab Claw Inn in about 8 years but my memories
of it are very pleasant & it was worth the wait - maybe the cooks changed over the years. When you are down the shore & feel like
getting dressed for a decent restuarant that is/was the place to go.
