A house fire in Camden County sent two people to a hospital and necessitated the rescue of one firefighter Wednesday morning.

A 19-year-old man died and his girlfriend was critically injured yesterday morning when they were trapped by a smoky fire in the basement bedroom of a Laurel Springs home, police said.
