Weekend Violence UPDATE: Arrest Made in Murdrer of Logan Square Artist
Kirk Tobolski, 24, has been charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing of Brendan Scanlon , a well-known local graffiti artist in the Logan Square neighborhood early Saturday.

Man charged in Loop attacks on TV anchor, 5 others
A Berwyn man was charged Friday with multiple counts of aggravated battery in connection with a series of random attacks on six people, including WLS-Ch. 7 news anchor Cheryl Burton, on Loop streets earlier this week, Chicago police said.
Gregory Perdue, 27, of the 1900 block of Euclid Avenue, Berwyn, was charged with three counts each of aggravated battery in the public way and aggravated battery to a senior citizen in the attacks that occurred Wednesday evening, police said.
The first attack occurred just after 7 p.m. outside the Cook County Administration Building, 69 W. Washington St. Police said Perdue attacked a woman on the street, punched her in the face and shoved her to the ground, police said. He then ran down Washington Street to Dearborn Street and attacked several more people as he went. Read more
