Turnpike Closed Six Hours Sunday for Bridge Beam Removal
Due to the removal of steel beams from the bridge that carries Fretz Road over the Northeastern Extension in Lower Salford, 13 miles of I-476 will be closed in both directions Sunday, beginning at 12:01 a.m. According to the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, the 13-mile stretch is between Lansdale Exit 31 and Quakertown Exit 44.
