Man pleads guilty to attempt to rob off-duty officer, friends
Jan. 25 just wasn't Jason Hibbs' morning.
Looking to score money to buy drugs, Hibbs, 23, of Levittown, followed three patrons of a Langhorne bar more than 15 miles to Doylestown Township, planning to rob them when they got out of their car.
When they arrived at a townhouse at 102 Eagle Lane about 3 a.m., the hooded Hibbs jumped out of his car and pointed his black plastic BB gun at Mark Lewandowski and two women friends as they stood in the driveway and demanded their money.
What he didn't know was that Lewandowski was an off-duty Buckingham Township police officer. Read more
