Crushed abattoir worker critically injured
A man has been crushed by a machine at an abattoir in Victoria's southeast. Paramedic Danny Slattery said the man suffered significant chest injuries, including a collapsed lung, when he was crushed by the walls of a machine used to keep cattle stationary at an abattoir in Lance Creek, near Wonthaggi, about 6am on Friday.
