Lancaster supervisor Giza threatens citizenry

At the November 2 Town Board work session, Supervisor Giza stated, “If I ever find out anyone ever started a rumor about me, you better leave town”. This statement was in regards to the anger he felt about alleged rumors and innuendos being spread on the internet. While I’ll agree most items written on the internet regarding Supervisor Giza may be considered disparaging, a preponderance of that which is written is FACT. While looking for cuts in the 2010 budget, the councilmen agreed to not accept their 2010 raise, but Supervisor Giza will continue to take his. FACT On November 3, 2008, the town board adopted a resolution indicating that the councilmen would no longer be eligible for the healthcare buyout. Supervisor Giza voted “yes” to this resolution, but Mr Giza has no qualms about receiving this buyout himself. FACT Supervisor Giza has been promoting new athletic fields which in the end will cost taxpayers more money. But he wants to “Do it for the kids”, as he takes away from the kids by receiving his healthcare insurance from the Lancaster/Depew Boys and Girls Club. FACT Why doesn’t he do it for the kids? The following questions are not rumors or innuendos. They are just thoughts to ponder. What if it is found that elected officials, as non-town employees had no legal right to receive the healthcare buyout as the Town employees are afforded in their CSEA contract? Would current and past officials who received it have to pay those funds back to the taxpayers? Will a town supervisor’s threat to its citizenry cause a visit to his residence from the FBI? If the situation was reversed, it certainly would. No innuendo, no rumor, just this one fact- Supervisor Giza can’t keep his hands out of the taxpayer cookie jar.
