The DA office is doing it because of the heinous crime he committed. The fact that they get some publicity is just icing on the cake.

He should be tried as an adult and to serve time in prison based on the crimes he committed.

I appreciate your sincerity and insight and I agree with you wholeheartedly. Being a good person and treating others with respect is first and foremost. But as a frequent read of these blogs I can't help but think that this whole world is messed up. Its not a race issue. People of all races do dumb things. I'm not making excuses for any of these gang bangers or criminals. They need to be thrown under the jail but too often we look at a few bad apples and judge a whole race. There are entire Universities that are historically black that graduate 1,000's of black professionals, lawyers, and doctors every year but we only take into consideration the ghetto (ignorant) minority.

By the way a mook is a loser usually a young one who is reckless and a jerk.

Thanks for the explanation of the word. And I agree. Many of these posters sound like they are from another planet. Maybe that is why Pluto was demoted.
