Former Dane County Sheriff's Deputy Andrew Steele faces two counts of first-degree intentional homicide in the Aug. 22 shooting deaths of his wife, Ashlee Steele, and sister-in-law, Kacee Tollefsbol. A court commissioner initially set his bail at $1 million last month.

Residents are invited to welcome the new director of the Lake Elmo library at a reception from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesday. Duprey said his long-term goal is to normalize relations with the Washington County library system, allowing exchanges of check-out privileges between libraries.
