A bat found in a Lake Barrington home on May 24 has tested positive for rabies, the third in Lake County this year, according to the Lake County Health Department.

May 20: Brian M. Krasner, age 22, of 404 Torrey Pines Way, Vernon Hills, was arrested for aggravated DUI, driving while license revoked, tinted front driver and passenger side windows, improper turn, illegal transportation of alcohol, no insurance, improper lane usage and unlawful possession of controlled substance at Route 14 and Shorely Drive.

A DUIA Michael C. Mahon, 35, 3113 Midway Drive, Island Lake, A was arrested during a traffic stop on Route 12 at Bailey Lane, 12:19 a.m., May 22.A Mahon was charged with two felony counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a revoked driver's license, illegal transportation of open alcohol and improper lane usage.A Mahon was in ...
