Instead of saving me $1,400 a year in taxes can you please shave $140,000 off my mortgage? Thanks Arnold!

Gee, and all along I thought the San Gabriel Valley was IMMUNE to the drop in property values! Thanks, Tribune, for the shocking but informative revelation!

And it will get worse.
Why? Because virtually every city in LA is being mandated by the state to create much higher density housing... and builders are being fasttracked without environmental review if they add affordable housing units to their plans.

So, as our density increases, this increases supply and puts downward pressure on prices. This is not a boon for those who can't afford houses, either. We will have increased traffic, pollution, more trash generation, more electricity usage, more water usage, longer waits, decreased quality of life... shorter life span.

Call you city's planning division and check out the Land Use/ Housing Elements of the General Plan (each city has one of these). Ask you planners or city council member how they are changing the zoning or fastracking development with no environmental review to accomodate SB375, or AB1818... and the SCAG/ RHNA numbers mandating population growth in your area.

I guess irwindale knows and appreciates the commercial properties and business of their city. They know that is where the citys consistent money is not the residential tax revenue. I guess Vejay is going to have to crunch some numbers and get the pink slips ready. Baldwin Park will lose around 2 million dollars so there goes the fictitious 900,000.00 dollars reserve. This couldn't happen at a better time just before election to show the residents the council has been falsifying the real budget numbers. The small business are the heart of the city and the nation but the idiots at this council don't have a clue. THANKS GAY BOY

WTF does gay have to do with anything? Is someone on our council gay? Would that make them bad at their job? I don't care what gender someone sleeps with. So quit saying stupid things. It messes up your point.

Oh, to the other guy, yeah, our President's middle name is Hussein. Got it. Do you have a point for mentioning that or were just trying to stupidify your comment?

I guess you forgot the most important part the people need a job to pay for these good deals. The problem with Baldwin Park they are business stupid and have lost the business income in the city. Great job city council.

Hey someone has his panties in a bunch why don't you give your mayor hug and calm down it's ok to be gay just don't bring your lovers to council meetings and give them police favors when arrested. Does the Corona case refresh your memory?

Ok, now I know what you're talking about... But you weren't ridiculing anyone for pulling strings for their illeged lovers. If Corona were some woman instead, would you taunt the mayor as a breeder or straight boy? I'm just saying... it's grade school. None of it has anything to do with the subject. It's just crap that offends anyone with a gay friend, family member, or a conscience... which would be most people out there. It's not getting your panties in a wad; I'm just fine. But what it is, is speaking up when someone says something stupid (instead of being a wuss who stands there and says nothing). More people should grow a pair.

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Taurus

The current planetary influences tend to make everyone groan a bit. Life is not perfect and may be less pleasant than usual, but what can you do? Get real for one thing! That's the way it is and once you accept this, everything becomes much easier to handle. Be solid and dutiful - qualities for which the Bull is renowned - and you'll come out the other side with your halo polished. Focus on some undeveloped potential in your life and take the first steps towards realising it.
