THUMBS UP Several area leaders were honored this past week for their service to the community.

Kremlin's WildHorse Gang banded together with volunteers Thursday morning to move thousands of aluminum cans into a semi-trailer during the 12th annual Aluminum Can Round-Up. WildHorse Gang members collect aluminum cans all year to be recycled and loaded them Thursday morning.

It began as a yearbook idea, evolved into a schoolwide project and ended with some hefty donations to charity.

The 12th annual WildHorse Gang Aluminum Can Round-Up will be 8:30 a.m. June 11. Activities will start at Kremlin Co-op with loading of hundreds of pounds of aluminum cans for transport to Enid.

A community retirement reception will be 2-4 p.m. May 31 for two Kremlin-Hillsdale teachers who have a combined 67 years experience.
